Disclaimer: This is just a demo of the game, which means there are probably going to be bugs and things I need to tweak. I have a whole litter of features planned for the future (bosses, new enemies, new gimmicks, etc). Thank you for playing!

Mischief, chaos, and anything but a bath.

Mischief is an arcade-style platformer where you play as a cat climbing upwards to avoid the rising tide of water. The purr-mise of the game is to achieve the highest possible score. You must stay quick on your paws, because the game ends when either the water reaches the cat or the cat gets bored and falls asleep.

Features

  • Attention Meter: Your attention is indicated as an hp bar which slowly depletes as your cat starts feline bored. To avoid this cat-astrophy you must interact with the world (gather collectables, defeat enemies, etc).
  • Powerups: Find special items that grant cool abilities, allowing you to become invincible, reduce your gravity, or move faster with greater control.
  • Enemies: Snakes and dogs will patrol the ground, ready to knock you away. Defeat these enemies by pouncing on them or walking into them when you are invincible. Watch the skies for mice, which are airborne enemies that will throw cheese at the player! Swatting them down is as simple as catching them.
  • Environment: Explore a randomly generated world filled with interactive obstacles and objects. Push vases off ledges to smash them, spring off bouncy platforms, slide over icy terrain, catch moving platforms, and avoid getting shocked by electrified surfaces.
